Current Projects – May 2015

Posted on Updated on

As of mid May, I have been one busy little bee. It seems that I have so many projects on the run and none of them going anywhere! Perhaps with the weather rapidly cooling off, I feel there is just so much to do before the cold snap is officially upon us.

I think that is what I love most about winter time, cosying up in winter woollies and the cold nights by the fire, feeling perpetually inspired to create more warmth to ward of the chill.

Currently I am creating some kitten mittens for my nieces that are progressing very slowly indeed. And also a shawl for my dear mum, who has been practically nagging me for it since I began it several weeks ago. Bless her. Lastly, I’m working on a gorgeous little jumper for my nephew, who will hopefully get it before he’s grown out of it!

On a happier note; I have recently finished this gorgeous Wickerwork Hat by Balls to the Walls. This is one of the most enjoyable patterns that I have ever worked. It took an easy two or three nights to complete and it is a simple and engaging knit. The yarn that I used is 4 Seasons (Pure Wool Entwine, 8ply).

I absolutely adore this hat, it is true that we are currently inseparable! Now, all I have to do is get organised and finish these projects, as there are so many patterns that I simply need to make soon!
